If you still haven’t made your first million online, here are 5 tips to guarantee your success!
1. Give yourself 3 reasons why you want to make your first (or 2nd / 3rd) million online. For example, I want to travel to my dream destination in business class, pamper myself in the spa, purchase my dream house etc
2. Set your goal to make $One Million (RM, HK$, S$, US or whatever currency you like) on or before 31 December, 2008.
3. Plan what to sell online which can give you a revenue of $One Million before end of 2008. This can be a combination of selling products, services, information. If you are looking for a revenue of $One Million, you have the following options:
a) For b2c - Sell big ticket items, e.g. if your average sale per order is US$1,000, you will need to have only 1,000 orders in one whole year to get US$One Million. So each day, you will need to get 2.7 orders.
Check out popular products in eBay, amazon.com or using Google keyword tool.
b) for B2B - Sell products which corporate buyers are already looking for. It doesn’t matter if you are not a manufacturer or wholesaler. You can just be a trading agent.

5. Don’t just aim. Shoot!
Many people spent months just doing the research, and still not deciding what to sell! Some of them have decided what to sell, but the wrong things.
Ask these questions to see if you’ve struck the millionaire dollar product:
1. Are there high search counts for the keywords relating to these products? At least 100k per month. The higher the no. of searches, the more popular is the product.
2. Are the search engines bidding for related keywords high enough? At least US$1 for the top 3 positions? The higher the bid, the more popular and higher profitability is the product.
3. Do you have a lot of competing websites? You should not target keywords with more than 2 million competing websites when doing a search in Google initially. If there are fewer than 2 million results, you may get FREE top rankings within 3 months, and even less than 48 hours if you know the trade secrets that we are using.
4. Do your products or what you sell have a USP? If the products can be easily purchased in any physical stores or online, it’s hard for you to sell unless yours are different, such as being able to personalize the products.
5. Do you have a high enough profit margin? For B2C, you should aim for a profit margin of at least 20% and a minumum value of US$20. For B2C, the profit margin can be 5% to 10% as the order will be bulk.
